Challenge
Sapphire Risk Advisory Group, a Dallas-based security consultancy, needed a way to present cannabis-dispensary security reference data — camera coverage, sensor placement, access control — inside a realistic retail environment. Not a spec sheet: a spatial walkthrough a non-technical viewer could actually follow.
Approach
A full concept-to-video production pipeline: Fusion 360 for the initial model and floor plan, built to cannabis-retail compliance conventions (vault/safe room, controlled-access doors, sales floor/vendor-gallery/back-of-house separation); SketchUp to carry the model into the rendering pipeline; Twinmotion for animation and rendering; OpenShot for final video post — pacing, text-drop callouts, and zooms timed to each security data point as the camera moves through the space.
The finished video opens and closes on real photography of an actual outdoor dome camera, match-cut into the 3D walkthrough — a deliberate production choice, not incidental. Consistent on-screen callouts label each device type as the camera passes it: indoor dome cameras, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, door position sensors, controlled access points, vault lining, IT-room server security, and cash safe.
Result
Delivered virtual model plus a 3:46 walkthrough video with embedded security data. The end card credits Cidre House Design directly in the deliverable itself.
Lesson: the same CAD-to-video pipeline used to sell a design concept to a client can be repointed at a different problem entirely — explaining a technical system to a non-technical viewer — once the underlying skill (spatial modeling plus narrative pacing) is in place.
