Golden Rookie

Challenge

Deliver a full retail buildout for Golden Rookie, a licensed Grand Junction dispensary — growing out of an existing relationship rather than a cold client pitch.

Approach

Scope grew from an initial interior paint job ahead of case installation into full design consultation and a complete custom fixture package — curved corner units, locking LED display cases, base cabinets, a custom POS display fit to the space, a deli case, reception desk, and floating glass shelving, plus 1,400 sq ft of interior paint. The centerpiece is a multi-tier island unit with a raised, glowing center riser — the interior leaned Art Deco, with the island’s tiers built to represent distinct levels of product. The riser is acrylic, lined inside with translucent vinyl to diffuse the LEDs evenly, wrapped outside in frosted vinyl for a non-gloss finish. After the casework was installed, Josh also scoped the vault space and ran the floor wiring inside the vault cage.

Result

A complete buildout, essentially finished and operating — demonstrating range beyond fixtures alone: design consultation, interior paint, and low-voltage vault wiring on the same engagement.
