Challenge

A rebrand of a prior operation (formerly “Golden Meds”) needed a full multi-phase retail buildout — a retail interface, a vendor display gallery, and a separate merchandise/apparel area — each with its own distinct brief, sequenced across a build that stretched longer than planned while waiting on client sign-off between phases.

Approach

Each phase had a different design brief, all from the same client contact, Alex Garcia:

Phase 1 — Retail. Brief was “Miami nightclub” — dark and shiny. Executed in gloss black acrylic face material with red accents and chrome trim, a palette equally at home in the Harley/motorcycle world Josh came up in.

Phase 2 — Merchandise. Worked primarily with Alex’s operations manager, Washington Charles, on this phase. Brief was a “SUPREME”-style pop clothing-retail look — white with red, deliberately distinct from the main retail area so the merch section wouldn’t get lost in the room. Standout fixtures: a one-off acrylic hat display, edge-lit t-shirt displays, and clean white cabinetry.

Phase 3 — Vendor Gallery. Same instinct — stand out, but stay close to the main vibe. Seven vendor display cases, installed at an angle to give each rented vendor slot a degree of subtle seclusion, capped with a neon “Gallery” sign positioned to catch customers’ attention as they walk in.

Result

A three-phase engagement, each visually distinct but part of one coherent build. The relationship proved to be Josh’s most significant repeat-client connection in Denver — the same Alex Garcia relationship that later became the Xclusive overnight-flip work, five total builds across both projects. Real before/after photography and a Matterport 3D scan document the space.

Lesson: a single client relationship can carry multiple, visually distinct design languages under one roof — as long as each zone earns its own brief instead of defaulting to one look for the whole store.
