Challenge

Dirico Motorcycles USA, a custom motorcycle builder running veteran-charity auctions, came to True Kustom in late 2011 and shipped five bikes to be custom-painted, each themed to a branch of the U.S. armed forces, for a veteran-charity auction.

Approach

Josh executed the custom paint/airbrush work across all five bikes — Airborne, Marines, US Air Force, National Guard, and SEAL Team 6 themes. Dirico returned in 2018 for another Navy SEALs-themed bike that escalated on the original concept: a “Frogman” emerging from water airbrushed on the rear fender, a close-up sniper portrait on the front fender. Dirico returned again in 2026 for artwork on their final veteran-auction bike.

Result

A rare three-engagement relationship with the same outside builder spanning 15 years, each round earning repeat business through demonstrated trust. Per Josh, the 2011 batch generated the most charity money Dirico had raised to that point.
