Challenge

Tom, a multi-bike client, provided his Street Glide to True Kustom to serve as a development platform — not just a custom paint job, but the base for parts the shop intended to bring to market.

Approach

Josh designed a front fairing with a sportbike-influenced profile and fitted the shop’s first-ever set of “Big Ass Bags” saddlebags. He also built custom handlebars, tank covers, side panels, and a seat specifically for this bike — effectively prototyping an entire parts line on one build.

Result

Described by Josh as “way ahead of its time” — a marker of True Kustom’s evolution from custom paint shop to parts manufacturer. Featured at SEMA in the Matrix Auto Paint booth and in the shop’s 2013 industry video profile.
