Branding and Marketing Development

Challenge
Custom paint and fabrication quality alone doesn’t build a business — in a hyper-local, reputation-driven industry, True Kustom needed to be discovered, trusted, and remembered by riders who had other custom shops to choose from.
Approach
Josh built the truekustom.com website himself in WordPress starting in 2011 — years before AI was part of his workflow — and got it ranking on the first page of search results; by 2013/2014 the site was fully developed. He ran the brand’s Facebook presence alongside it, and paired the digital build with sustained physical visibility: a high-exposure shop location, regular bike nights, bike shows, and a booth at major national events including Sturgis. Print collateral — event banners, business cards, a grand-opening flyer, trifold brochures — carried the same brand across every one of those physical touchpoints.
Result
The combination drove the site and the brand to their peak in 2014–2015: nationally recognized work, independent magazine coverage, a television appearance, and builder/vendor relationships including Klock Werks — on top of a parts business that sold internationally. In Josh’s words: “It would absolutely have not been as successful had I not worked so hard on building the brand, picking a high-exposure location, doing bike shows, bike nights and large motorcycle events across the US.”
